Good News about the Tax Credit!!!
Congress has extended and expanded the homebuyer tax credit to continue stimulating the housing sector of the economy. The Senate voted 98-0 on Wednesday and yesterday the House voted 403-12 on legislation that includes the extension and expansion of the credit. The President is expected to sign off on it within the next few days.
This is good news for any first time homebuyers who have not already purchased their first home. A slightly different credit is now available to homeowners who have owned their home for 5 years.
